20 Rules of Flight (Modified for PPG)
Taken from here: http://www.airparamo.com/ppg/rules/ 1.Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory. 2. If you let the throttle out, the houses get bigger. If you push the throttle in, they get smaller. That is, unless you push the throttle in and pull on the brakes real hard, then they get...

FL Recreational Land Use Statute.....how we can legally fly on private land
Florida has a very well written recreational land use statute that basically allows anyone to use most private property for recreational purposes, and holds the property owner harmless from any liability for injuries or damage caused by someone using the land or just being there and getting hurt. So...

How powering up early screws up your launch....4 failed attempts today
at 46 flights now, I am still fairly new, but I was on a role on my A rated Ozone Mojo power (have not missed a launch in many flights)....Today was my second flight attempt on my new-to-me Niviuk Link B rated glider. It is smaller, and different, and I may have learned some bad habbits on the mojo ...

Simple voice communication for paramotors and paragliders
Came across this. Looks interesting, uses a phone (but not WIFI or cell signal), and 900mhz band and 5 mile range

Re: EPPG1 design
Coupling the motors just adds to much complexity, and weight, while not adding more air affecting area. Area is king, so more props are the better choice.....going for 6 motors. still figuring out the mounting , but I got the overlap stager figured out. I am ignoring the hoop right now, next goal is...

Re: EPPG1 design
preliminary thrust test results match what is expected. 4 blades gave about 20% more thrust, but the amperage went up as expected, (in the 60s, and very hot motor). I will update with real numbers soon. The real question is what to do with the paramotor. 11kg x 4 is less than a top80, and with the p...

Next step is the motor test stand. Need to see what these motors can do.....i didn't have one, so i built one from stuff i had laying around and some drawer slides from the hardware store.
I had most of the electronics put together from a previous ground vehicle project.

Re: EOS engines 4 stroke prototype
The digital ignition mod sounds good too....I just looked on amazon, lots of options for motorcycles out there. I assume you used an off the shelf unit? or did you make something from scratch?

Re: EOS engines 4 stroke prototype
Wow, nice work on that. looks very sturdy.
I noticed a 3 blade prop. I have yet to try one, how does it differ from the usual 2 blade? what are the benefits and downsides? I know some people seem to like them a lot.
